You won't find anything as you will get whatever is on the shelf.
The last few batches from Rotax have been pretty good all round, not had a bad one.
The rubbish about must have codes is still doing the rounds, to illustrate this I have had brand new cylinders in December 13 that have codes and numbers but I have also had brand new cylinders in April 14 with the same code but lower code numbers! You may well say that jag have just sent out old stock but I know that these have come from different batch orders from Rotax as jag have twice been out of stock for a few days this year.
If you order a brand new motor you will get whatever is on the shelf and the chance of getting a great motor is exactly the same.
Just remember a new motor needs track time before you make a judgement of at least 2 hours.
