I wasn't disagreeing with your points at all Simon. But people know a lot more about x30 than they do about blue. Blues seen as a bit separated and a bit niche.
You can say x30 is hype, but hype only works for so long. I'm confident x30 is standing up to the hype, and will continue to do so.
The first hurdle x30 had was "it's only for people that can't win in Rotax. It's for bandits." That's been blown out the water, as factually most on the x30 grid have won in Rotax/tkm/etc We also have jack Barthemew and Danny cruttenden who are currently competing in Rotax s1 saying the engine is better and more level. So that's not people like me and josh Hatton who went around at the back of s1 last year underpowered, but people who are at the sharp end this year, with the correct tools to compete there, saying it's great. You have Stilp and newey who competed in Europe,
If you do some research then people will see me and Hatton were over half a second off at s1 and in x30 were within a tenth of Jack. That's what people want to see.
You also have Maranelo, JM, PPR, Vital, MLC, Grice, MS karts(jack dex), global karting, s8,wright and I hear Paul Carr plus more all actively promoting the class at tracks and giving people some laps in the motor. Look at the number of threads on this forum. It's gone a bit mad haha.
Maybe blue drivers would like to have a look at moving across? As you have all the water cooling bits etc already. So the actual cost isn't to steep in karting terms. You know the engine internally it's part of the iame family. So come over and let's save senior Msa karting. :-)
