Doesn't sound daft at all JSP. You wonder why Tal-ko have gone for this type of clutch centre when every one else inc. Rotax have changed to the much simpler 'slit disc' type rotor. However having replaced the springs, do you find that on your race carb settings you can: 1. Start the engine and keep it running without the clutch engaging long enough for a normal start procedure, say 1 minute? . 2. If you have an 'off' at Rowrah? and end up nose on to the tyres/rocks, do you find the engine keeps running long enough for you to get out , turn the kart round etc. etc.? Do you have any particular procedures or settings which you could share with TKM racer and others or is there an intrinsic problem with this power unit that Tal-ko need to get sorted.?
