Be carefull. Ig it's the new style loom with eyelets for connecting to the battery then you will have two black leads, both of which would appear to be earth leads but one will be for the DD2 engine that has a two speed gearbox. the longer of the black leads is used to connect to a solenoid and suppresses the spark from the coil during gear change.
If you connect this to earth, your coil will not supply any HT voltage.
The lead goes from the eyelet to the plug that goes onto the coil.
Make sure this plug has a red square gasket in it as without it you can get odd misfires at high revs.
The solenoid lead is longer and has sleeving over the wire. Tape up the eyelet and secure the lead out of the way.
Fit an extra earth strap across the rubber coil bobbins in case one breaks.
