Frag, I'm sure you do put the same high quality of workmanship etc. into each motor, hence the formidable and great reputation Force have at all levels. But as stated by Coach, that doesn't mean he'll get an S1/club winning motor after a 'rebuild' if it's not great to start with, irrespective of the pilots ability/carb set up & the other 1000's of variables that decide how far you finish up the results sheet. Hence the selection process of parts or blind luck getting a great base motor before you/anyone works their magic on it, and that's the point we were trying to put over to him. As I said in my initial answer, there's a number of ways to achieve getting a better motor but that's only part of the equation isn't it. Smokey asked a reasonable question, people gave a view, me included, to help him make an informed judgement rather than push the guy down 1 road, I certainly didn't. If he ends up as a customer, great, if you took offence, my apologies.
