YOU DID THE RIGHT THING!!!!
if we have a "laisez faire" attitude then people will exploit the rules all they want. oh it didn't matter that his kart was 1/2kg underweight so why whould it matter that iv fitted a turbo to my kart?! if these things are allowed to happen then people WILL exploit them. why else are rules there. i know people often make mistakes and some newbies will often not have realised that something is against the rules and the matter should be dealt with accordingly. BUT experienced karters know what the regulations are and SHOULD abide by them. the person in this case just blatently ignored the rules as to suit him! he could just do the practice day, miss out the race day and do the next meeting when he has his sparkly new kart.
when someone finishes last but they came in a few grams underweight. have a word and they won't do it again. excluding them doesn't benefit anyone as noone was cheated out of a position. whereas if your good enough to be running at the front you are clever enough to abide by the rules and you have enough money to afford a 5 disc protector.
