Luke The problem is, as others in this thread have said, the time between rebuilds depends on how hard you are pushing the engine. Before we raced my son just drove on practice days not pushing the engine hard and it ran for three years with no problems other than the odd carb rebuild. Now he races we have two engines and they are both rebuilt every year by a professional engine builder. Their skills and access to proper tools guarantee a good job. I do change the seals every 2hours and put a new piston ring in at the same time.
A lot of the detail you need is in the TKM manual which is only �4.50 and the rest by asking specific questions on this excellent forum. General questions like how to rebuild from ground up cover so much you are bound to get lots of differnt answers.
If you can find someone who knows about engines and watch them put an engine together. Its not rocket science but does need care and attention to detail.
