OK before you all start posting yawn replies I just wnat to know if anyone is able to "come clean" on what is actually happening with these barrels.
Every time I have phoned Jag to ask what is happening I have been told a different date for these to be legal to race. The last few times I have called the date has not changed from the 1st of June. I now hear that there are plans afoot to delay the sealing of these barrels until August or early next year. What are we supposed to race with if we only have one motor available??????
I have just paid an engine builder to rebuild and seal my motor. The original barrel was oversize and not legal for racing anymore so I need a new barrel as apposed to wanting one. He has sealed it with a black seal as he advised that this will be legal to race by the next S1 round. I did say to keep the motor until he can seal it with the correct JAG seal but he said this was not an issue as the scrutineers will be made aware of the fact that after the 1st June or by the next round of S1 junior motors can be raced with the black seal.
Apparently there is a meeting going on right now with the ABKC,MSA and JAG to decide what is going on with this issue.
What's the bet there will not be an announcement for all to see what is going on.
Someone, anyone please prove me wrong and give a statement of fact!
