I've been reading this with interest, I have a Dec 08 barrel and yes, it's quite good, even better now my son and I practice most week-ends as this allows me to have more "play" time with the jets, gears etc, at race week-ends you just don't get the time to change and test so quick (waiting up-to 1 hour between practices??). My sons driving has come on 100% which has also improved his speed, in fact upto 3 seconds quicker at Shenington than in Jan when we started. I ain't no cheque book dad, far from it, just club karting not championships, but I do try my best to be competative. Don't get me wrong , if the 09 barrel does prove to be "really quick" then when we move to Jnr Rotax (end of the year) I will look into it as the engine will be being re-built anyway.
My thoughts anyway.
