Having just got home and reflected on the the Extreme weekend i would offer the following observations - Bob and the team run a great track and i can see real evidence of them improving the event from a driving standards point of view - real time comms / headsets/ recording of incidents etc. However ultimately its the drivers who have to take responsibility for this and unfortunately my driver was on the recieving end in both heats of a number of first lap (rear) assaults - one violent and two just plain imtimidatory. End result was over 100 of damage and a spoilt day (and saturday was such a good day )and no more than 250 yards travelled in two heats. Even if any were accidental(i believe not) what ever happened to a good old fashioned apology afterwards ? Its up to the drivers to sort this - not Bob and his team. The final also witnessed a scene of petulance more normally seen in a nursery than in an adult kart race - amazing....... The track is good, the new rules are good with a good entry, so why spoil it for the sake of a bit of patience - the good drivers will still win as they dont need to resort to these tactics.
