Thanks for the replies, I have given that a thought, and with the karting I have done before, I do have quite a few of the tools needed.
Yeah, I understand your point about going for the chassis best catered for at the track I intend on racing at. As it will take me a while to get used to the Rotax aswell.
The thing is really, I want to be sure that my kart isn't holding me back. At the moment in Prokarts, there are Selected Parts engines, and a lot of other bits and pieces, and obviosly the gap between the standard, un-tuned engines, and the selected parts ones was quite a lot, especially on such a mass produced engine.
Im hoping that, as long as I have a straight chassis that's set up well. An Ogden tuned engine (or other rebuilder) and new tyres, I shouldn't be held back too much. Have I got the right idea?
