Re what makes a Cadet go fast! I would have to say!! 1. Having the correct chassis set up to best suit the track conditions. 2. Having the engine carb (Hi/Lo jets) adjusted to suit prevailing weather conditions. Also an exprienced driver could make mminor slight Hi jet adjustments whist running on the track to optimise engine performance. 3. Having a well fiched engine will optimise the power output of the engine. 4. Driver skill and experience to master the race track with its bends, twists and turns is by far the biggest factor or variable where a good driver would be able to find the odd 10th or even 0.5sec 5. Driver/Kart running at the optimum class weight limit i.e does'nt bog down in th corners. 6. Paying silly big money for expensive motors worth thousands does not guarrantee your driver will be the fastest on the track and is'nt always the answer to winning.
