Russ, the wb32 is used in model aircraft and i guess the extra hole is for a different power curve or transition emulsion between low and high jets. I have a great tuning article on how to tune the wb carb - as yet untried by myself as it involves how to set the low jet first at approx 11,000rpm before you work the high jet. Sounds risky to me as i dont fancy revving the kart that high on a stand while i play around with the jet settings but,,,,if you believe the articel the carb should work more smoothly and give awesome low rev power allied to seamless transition on the high jet. Might risk it on an old engine just in case it goes bang. Theres also another tip in there thats worth a try but i aint sharing that one! PM me your email and will mail u the article.
