agree with the above by JDsRs
we have been racing at Kimbolton for many years and have seen the club grow in all areas to what it is now. we haven't visited ALL other tracks so can't comment entirely, but I believe Kimbolton is one of the best in the country with good facilities, a great track and a well organised approach to ensure race days are safe and professionally run.
But I do agree the tannoy announcements are all but useless some times......... depending on who does the announcing, some use common sense and make the announcements when no karts are on track or are up at Dan Wheldon corner on the rolling lap which makes obvious sense, but not all do it that way
this is particularly important when order of races are changed as they were yesterday .....I appreciate we all have a responsibility to keep on top of how things are doing in your own world at the event, but it is very easy to lose track of time and if the plan is to get necessary repairs/adjustments to the kart etc done according to the programme, when this changes at short notice it is VERY easy to not make it to the race start in time.
one other thing in addition to the above comments ...........please make the path width from willows to the grid wider at the point where it passess the pit bays adjacent to the fence for the start grid ........it can be absolute carnage there trying to get to the grid with karts being pushed back to willows and spectators wandering around
and
take more action to sort the 'loading' at the first corner and it would almost be enjoyable to race every month!!!!!!!!!!
just my thoughts :)
