John, there must be several grids of Iame cadet that have over 20 hours and more on the main bearing, also tkm and comer cadet, a kf3 motor will easily do 20 hours on a main bearing.......Rotax do not manufacture a main bearing, that is unique to them and will never fail..There have been a lot of engine failures recently in Rotax, Conrods and pistons mainly...if your motor is out of warranty you pay, the same as in any other class....personally I am not interested in the warranty, I am more interested in a level playing field with the motors...personally I cannot see the point in wasting money on a Rotax motor, knowing its nowhere near as fast as the front runners....off the self Rotax Motors are great for people that just want a bit of fun at the weekend, and accept that they are unlikely to win, or be on the podium...for the more serious racer he will have virtally no chance of winning with an "off the shelf" motor....back to your main point, the race circuits are not littered with broken, non Rotax, motors, because they have done over 20 hours on a main bearing
