Firstly its a race track with a long heritage in kartings. At least the track is smooth with a good variety of corners run off areas- unlike some patch-work tracks on S1 circus. The track is on MOD land so there are limitations to what infrastructure can be made, they are also limited to the number of days they can race. No mains water supply so a water tanker is used. The approach road is across MOD land so I don't think the club has much control over it's condition but it is a suspension killer. It's racing not glamping- I'm sure the likes of Mansell and Button never complained about the lack of showers. I think it is great that Rissy has a high profile meeting and I'm sure it will be successfull, and enjoyable (if S1 could ever be considered 'enjoyable' these days).
