well im totally new to rotax, came straight from cadets after a 3 year abscence. im looking for the fastest route to get my lad back on his game, getting the kart set up and engine performing is my prioroity, i know he can drive.
vince max im of that opinion also, ive looked at the data from the weekend and it definatley points towards this, his laptimes and revs were without a doubt alot quicker within 55-65 degree range. i dont think it was due to his tryes reaching temp as we were running unusually higher tyre pressures so if anything would have expected his times to drop. if the rotax manual is stating that min operating temp should be 45 before thrashing it and optimum is 65 then im sure they have done there testing and research.
we are racing tomorrow so ill be testing this theory somemore.
