It was a bloody horror show. As Muzza implies, no TV, no ceremony, no feeling we were crowning the British Open Champions in three classes. And the ludicrous sight of a Honda grid comprising three karts "racing" all weekend. The kids have obviously got to be given a chance to race if at all possible - but that was bonkers. Surely they could have been called off a week ago. As for the contact - it was random if you made it through the first corner or not. I honestly believe faster, more spaced-out starts are the answer like S1 did last season. Removes loading, and makes things safer despite the higher speeds. Mini final was just ridiculous. I think I'm right ... two got disqualified, one got a five-place penalty, three had heavy crashes all in last-lap incidents. All from the top 12. Madness. Junior and senior not much better. And by the way - I think "big teams" are an easy target. Just get the starts running properly and a lot of the problem disappears. Also in S1 with every heat counting I think some of the issues this weekend will disappear. It wasn't pleasant though. Max Timmermans (the lad who flipped and I mean properly flipped) deserves a medal for rolling over, gertting up, hitting the start button and driving off. Legend.
