As part of an ongoing pondering of what class to move up to, from juniors to seniors, Im interested in KZ UK and would like to know more about costs and practicality of running in the class.

Whats the typical ongoing cost of running?

- Typical engine hours between rebuilds, and rebuild cost (done by an engine builder)?

- The real cost of tuning? Is it just a few tweaks at rebuild time, or is there any real risk of having to switch engines makes to stay competitive?

- Tyre life every meeting, or OK for several meetings?

- Any other significant costs, beyond the usual chains, sprockets, pads, etc?

I assume that a single chassis and a couple of engines is a good starting point.

Also, what are the main Midlands short circuit tracks with KZ UK grids at present? I know Shenington has a gird, but where else?

Views from folks currently active in KZ UK / KZ1 are particularly welcome.
