X30 is the way to go...far, far easier to be on the pace in X30, than in Rotax Max.
We competed in the Senior Max O plate and the first round of Super One, at Rowrah, last month, and what an eye opener that was...the difference in performance, between motors etc, is quite staggering.
We used 5 motors, 3 airboxes , 2 exhausts , 3 carbs, all from a recognised engine tuner/ builder. We used all this kit to get one average performance motor/carb/exhaust set up.
Rotax Max was/is sold on the basis that the performance of the motors etc is equal...just buy one, turn up race it, trouble free for 40 hours..yeah ok!...ok if you want to race at the back of the grid all the time, and be very uncompetitive.
X30 offers the karter a real , genuine, alternative to Rotax Max. I have yet to hear anyone that has tried it say a bad word about the class.
The grids are on the small side at the moment, but after the Kartmasters, and maybe support race at S1, and the LGM tour, karters will see for them selves what a fantastic class X30 is.
