Still new to Iame and after a little advise from those more experienced than me. Having recently had the carb re-kitted and dyno set, the lad complained on his first outing at Whilton Mill that when he put his foot down there was no acceleration and then it would come in a surge, which I put down to the weather at the time it bucketing down with rain. Having since had the kart on the stand when I first started it the engine was ticking over at 7000rpm from cold, which I took back to about 2200rpm when warmed on the screw for the throttle stop on the carb. Letting it to cool and starting the kart again it ticks over at around 3500rpm from cold gradually reducing to around 2200rpm when warm as I had set on the throttle stop. The question being is this normal fro the rpm at tick over to reduce as the engine warms or should I be speaking to my engine builder to ask him to check it over. Thank you in advance for any advise.
