Hi
Can anybody help, the manual supplied when I bought my x30 from new referred to a different carb not the tillotson supplied
To set the carb from the off the manual states set the low jet to 1 turn out and the high to 1hr 10 mins set the idle screw to 1 and a half turns out after contact with with the throttle lever
Then turn the low jet clockwise if the revs start to increase carry on till max revs obtained, what is max revs at the bottom end there is no guide to what this should be!!
I have been running for months on the stock settings adjusting and changing gearing flex pipes etc and not been able to get more than max 15500 revs at best
I did not tune the carb as stated in the manual as this info was for the tryton carb but should I have followed the tuning information as I have set to basic settings 1 on the low 1 and a half on the high and the idle screw 1 and a half turns out after contact with the throttle lever and I cant get the optimum revs is this because the low and high jets should be tuned as per manual??
Help would be greatly appreciated as at the point of despair now
