Like all Honda racing there continues to be a finite amount that can be spent where as 2/ the spending potential is infinite. Tallent is still where the last tenth or two sits and you simply can't buy that. But if you are stupid enough to part with laods of cash because you think it is then more fully you.
There have always been special engines even when Honda cadets were sealed and some were even more special than others, however, with no seals the playing feild is leveled.
Indeed, look at most senior Honda classes in the country that have ran to the Honda regs for years, there is nothing between the top drivers - awesome to watch and be part of yet no talk of stupid cash - selected parts yes but I have seen the dyno graphs of the guys I race with and there is very little in any of the engines. Isn't consistency at a fixed budget what we want - why was the builder so keen to buy his engines back (who was it & where?)
