I laugh out-loud almost every day! Usually at other people's silly ideas!
My answers are based on EXPERIENCE! I have heard ALL the claims about this, that and the other chassis SO many times that it is simply a JOKE!
If you want the TRUTH.... then it's simple..... beginners and the not-very-good will SWEAR by ONE make/type of chassis suggesting that IT is the 'key to the world'! Those with more experience and the BETTER drivers (in ALL classes) tend to feel that they can make MOST chassis work.... given a bit of time. The best drivers tend to know that the top 3 or 4 in any class are SO close that there is nothing to choose between them, except for personal preferences.
The only time this fails to be true is when someone finds something NEW in the world of karting..... the last time I can remember something which TRULY separated one chassis from other contemporary chassis, in a SIGNIFICANT way, was the introduction of the Techno chassis WAY back in the 1960s! All the other chassis 'improvements' have been almost microscopic!
So.... my answer is..... buy one that you LIKE and for which you can get SPARES and SERVICE and HELP! The rest is down to personal taste!
Why do you think that holding that view makes me UNHAPPY? Knowing that you are NOT going to be at a huse disadvantage with ANY of the best chassis seems to be DELIGHTFUL!...... unless, of course, you need to be able to blame your chassis for your poor driving.....
It's called keeping an open mind!
