That would be MY argument for NOT having Side Pods (or ANY bodywork) at ALL!
If you HAVE side pods, they encourage 'rubbing'. If you don't, it DISCOURAGES it! Having raced with and without, I can tell you there were VASTLY fewer incidents and accidents when we DIDN'T have side pods!
However, if current sidepods are SUPPOSED to stop interlocking.... but they are PREVENTED from doing that job so that they can allow a BIT of interlocking..... then are we not back EXACTLY where we started BEFORE we fitted this JOKE TUPPERWARE?

The rule was that a straight edge places against the wheels (front and rear) should NOT touch the side pods at all. I.e.,the wheels must be ALLOWED to interlock......
