Hi,
I think the gearing for Honda at Dunkeswell is about 20-72. So using your 19 clutch you need to drop a toothe or 2 on the rear to get the top speed. Having said that you are not getting all that many revs, I am guessing this is due to your son being new the sport and not because you are geared too low.
More teeth on the axle sprocket better acceleration and lower top speed. Less teeth on the axle sprocket a higher top speed.
One toothe change on the engine sprocket has a greater effect, roughly 3.5 teeth on the back. Again smaller more acceleration larger higher top speed.
I think you will find that most Cadet Dads use a 20 clutch in the dry, changing to the 19 clutch but leaving the same rear sprocket for the wet.
Hope that helps
