Just started my 10 yo son off with a WTP cadet, and next year want to move him up to a junior category, partly due to age but also because he's so much bigger than your average 10 yo, he's a really strong build, like me with a wide chest (37" at 10yo), he's also tall for his age (nobody messes with him in school at least!).
So realistically, looking at most of the other racing kids who seem to be tiny he doesn't really stand much of a chance just because of the weight disadvantage.
But he really loves Karting so was considering early move to Junior TKM 4S. Our local tracks are GYG and Hooton, I know they occasionally have races at GYG for 4S, not sure about Hooton.
Anyone know whether this route would be a good one for my son to have some fun and enter into some racing-he's not planning to be the next Lewis Hamilton at this stage and we'd likely stick with GYG and Hooton for now.
