With the exception of Trev's stupid idea for a sub 75kg class there are some good comments on here.
My preference, however, would be to revert to running as one grid as the time spent sorting out the dummy grid did not help anyone and keep clubman as a sub class within the overall Prokart grid. Only if the numbers dictate that separate races completely should the grids be split again.
As for promotion it won't be optional next year. Yet to be decided but you can bet it won't be limited to the top 3 but extend further and, in my view, should capture anyone who was placed in the top 3 and achieving a certain lap time. We could also demote any driver over the age of 50 to clubman so Trev can get a fair race with some novices!!
Seriously, the split has been good but to me Clubman should be novices, gentleman drivers and the like. Elite is the wrong term by far. I don't think there are any of the Elite drivers who are in-correctly classified but there are a good handfull of Clubman who should expect promotion next year and be proud of their achievements. Adam, Lewis, Aly and Michael are as good as there but there will be others - perhaps even Ross.
