Trev,
You are not quite in reality... yes to win you may need to spend money, some of us just want to do as well as we can on our budget. In the current climate Martin needs to be attracting as many drivers as possible, so costs need to be kept as low as possible. Roadrat's suggestion is good as it will stop drivers like yourself chucking on a new set of slicks for each final if they so choose. Push it in the direction of cheque book racing and within a year it will be like the last few Super 2 meetings with tiny grids of the "best" prokarters at each race. It's something I'd like to do, a multi circuit series. For it to work for me I'll need a good grid and a good mix of drivers/budgets so I'll always have someone to race with. The drivers that run at the back of the grid are just as important as those at the front and anything that keeps them more in touch with the front runners is a good thing.
