I would make the slick tyres last at least 3 rounds and leave the wets open as clearly conditions will dictate which rubber to use. Both the Dunlop and Bridgestone will last a lot longer than this anyway as you know Trev and new tyres are not used at WL every round either - you proved yourself they were slower!!
It doen't have to cost to go racing Hondas and the growing grids around the country support this especially as we are seeing Max drivers converting (Juniors at that). Kit is well priced, there is a boyant 2nd hand market, Tuned engines at 400 a throw, several engine builders and chassis manufacturers/importers willing to support, budget license, added to a club event all take cost out. And with Martin's promotion this has to have as good a chance as any of succeeding.
And while it is good to encourage debate I think this is all fine detail at the moment. Experienced drivers such as yourself should be proving that it does not have to cost to get the grid committed - start selling stuff cheap like you used to to help everyone out (tyres included - you know you want to!!!).
