Pro Kart - Is it worth it??

Good afternoon all!!

My brother and I are looking to get back into the Karting scene, just for fun initially maybe one day we will start racing again ... it's been about 12 years since we last owned a Kart. Anyway, we have been to see a couple of people with regards to buying a Pro Kart and we would just like an opinion what is value for money ...

We have been offered a Pro Kart - which is

06 MS Kart rolling Chassis
2 x Race Prepared GX160 RPM Engines (NEW)
2 x set of slicks

for around the �2000 mark - is this worth the money??

The guys seemed very genuine, spent over 2 hours with us explaining how to setup the karts, what maintainence is needed etc ... they will setup the kart to suit us and show us the ropes, and they have a winning pedigree ...

BUT we have also seen another Kart which is:

08 7 Kart Rolling Chassis
2 x Race Prepared GX160 RPM Engines (NOT NEW)
Kart Trolley
1 x set of slicks
1 x set of wets
Kelgate floating break and bearings
Spare pads
Kart cover

for around the �2300 mark

Now to the untrained eye the second option seems the better deal ... but it's a bit of a stab in the dark for us ...

Any opinion would be greatly appreciated ....
