Wouldn't use anyone other than RPM. If you look at the results from most series they will have the majority of winners.
There is a price list on the web site but a lot will depend on what they find parts wise. RPM advertise on this site and both Paul and Big Rog will be more than happy to spend time with you to explain what they can do.
You can, however, do a lot of the stuff yourself - most of it is confidence. Valve clearances, carb and clutch clean and prep, valve lapping, de-coking etc. Re-ring on its own isn't that difficult but the skill is ensuring that the valves and rings all seal correctly. Parts, however, remain the same price and most DIY builders do not have the necessary test equipment to check the performance improvement/leakage etc.
