Hi chaps,
Hoping you may be able to help with this one.
One of our engines is playing up. The issue is that it coughs a splutters for a short while, as if it is being starved of fuel and/or air, and will then eventually kick in and run properly. This happens on start-up, and during low down acceleration on-track until we rise above 2750 revs then it runs ok.
If you copy and paste the below Youtube link into a fresh Browser Window you will be able to watch us start it; it demonstrates the problem quite well - be sure to turn your Speakers on/up!

Things we have tried to combat the problem are:
- Changed and cleaned fuel pump - Ensured both fuel lines are of identical length - Cleaned Pilot Jet - Cleaned Main Jet & Emulsion Tube - Changed entire Carb (from our working engine) - Changed exhaust
We think that this engine may have initially been running a 72 sized jet, but we have recently put in a new 70 sized jet. Would reducing the size of the jet cause this much of an issue? I can appreciate that every engine is different and a different sized jet maybe more suitable for one engine than the other?
If we are way of the mark please let me know, all comments and feedback will be apprecaited.
Thanks in advance, Rhauri
