The racing looked good and I agree it is close - can't knock that, however, it is the administration that I have issue with and inadequate clerking/officials that allow this sort of issue to continue to go on without the appropriate action. This has been going on for years and the series has lost so many quality drivers as a result. Whilst in previous years I could only speak from hearsay on this occasion I witnessed it all first hand and it leaves a lot to be desired.
I have been in front of the CoC on a number of occasions both as driver and driver's representative and been read the riot act and duly penalised but never, afterwards, did I consider the actions inappropriate. And never did the decision change 3 or 4 times in the space of as many minutes. It is this that continues to dis-credit the series (not the drivers - drivers push the rules all the time but when there is no boundary they don't know how far to go). Assault can not be condoned and does an exclusion from a final equate to an adequate deterrent to smack someone? I don't think it does and nor would the MSA or any other sport or organisation. So what is going to happen next?? Who knows but unless it is something drastic this series will continue to be mocked but those in the correct circles.
And someone must have seen Adam getting rammed off the track. He was 5th or 6th so that is 7 drivers behind him that must have seen it - does anyone wish to comment?
