mychrons and alfanos have extra sensors over and above the basic rev counter.
of the extra sensors available the lap timer, with mag or ir sensor, is the most used/useful.
extra sensors available are:(4 stroke sensors) # under plug temp sensor, # egt,(for getting carburation spot on) # axle speed,
then you can go all out data gathering and go for GPS, throttle pos'n, steering angle, brake pressure, 2nd engine revs, clutch revs and lots of other fancy stuff for going faster! Data logging is infectious and addictive so be prepared to spend long hours studying/analysing data if you go down that route.
Alternatively, get a basic rev counter and see at a glance if your gearing is correct and if you are getting optimum revs for your engines (but attach the rev counter to both engines on separate runs to make sure you have them balanced).
