I believe that people are too competitive and have lost sight of having fun. The problem often seems to be that event organisers can usually get a grid of Rotax. When they allow Bilands etc to join in, the Rotax drivers complain that they are at a disadvantage. Because they don't want to risk losing the Rotax grid, they often set the Bilands off well behind the Rotax, so they don't interfere with the front running Rotax drivers. This usually means that the Bilands have little fun as a two or three kart grid. But it seems better to lose a couple of Bilands than fifteen Rotax. I personally think the organisers should call the majorities bluff. I think they might gain more 'others' than they would lose Rotax. But that's easy for me to say as I don't have to take that risk.
