What is pointless here? Your point? I think so. How exactly do you suggest that such things as SP engines are eradicated? Low cost or not, people want to win, which will always lead to things getting a little less low cost. I have already admitted that our kit is good, it has to be, but you are talking about a one off expense to get good equipment. And even then, in the karting world it is still 'cheap'. After that, it's pennies. The last round at WL cost me my entry and fuel, a whopping 60. Compare that to Super 1 last year, where a weekend was costing 600 if I'm being conservative, with 1k not being out of the question. My point being - is prokarting cheap? Yes, without doubt. Is it as much fun as more expensive formulas in karting? Yes without doubt.
Mr DIY, I have no idea as to your involvement in karting, whether driver, spectator or just general gobsh!te but my advice to you based on what I have read here would be to go to your local indoor track and start getting excited, it seems to be what you are after. In the spirit of prokarting, that advice was free!!
