Hi all,

I've been reading this forum for a while now - started when I began looking for a kart and whether to buy one at what seems the ripe old age of 26.

In the end I went for a 7kart with a couple of gx160 RPMs bolted on... and, with a little help from a few mates, aim to start racing up at Rye house in June or July (Need to do a few test days first to make sure we're not an absolute bunch of menaces when we get out there).

So, I guess the obvious question would be the standard 'newbie' one of 'Anyone got any tips?' Between race maintenance worries me the most - from what I can gather it's a 'nut and bolt' check, oil change, and a new set of tyres and stub axles every few races... after that, not too sure. Anyone got a checklist they go through?
