It�s like the age old saying, �If it�s too good to be true then it probably isn�t� and I just think that�s the case with fuel additives. I like others have also tried and failed with that one years ago. For what we�re looking for they are a waste of money. I�d rather have �5 off a test session or put it towards new tyres.
There is one additive that you may wish to try that�s been around for years and years though. Without mentioning the brand name - it�s RED in colour and alphabetically the letter falls between W and Y and it�s on sale virtually everywhere. This won�t give any added performance value whatsoever, but a tiny drop in the tank during a TESTING SESSION cleans out the jets beautifully and then regular unleaded does the rest.
Completely agree with your point about using tyre compounds though. If it�s good enough for other classes and improves grip and tyre life - then why not?
