Hey there,
You will find that a very very large proportion of GX160 Racers will use: CoolPower Gold Lite
We tend to get ours from Zoom Karts (via eBay: kartpartsdirect); just search 'Cool Power Gold', the one and only result is what you are looking for. You can also get it directly from www.zoomkarts.com or www.dartfordkarting.co.uk.
Each bottle is a US Quart. which is a touch under 1 liter, and we put 450ml in each engine, so you'll easily get two oil changes out of a bottle with touch left over, worth keeping and building up over time.
We change ours after every race meeting and/or practice as it is a thin oil for race use, it looses its protective qualities pretty quickly. You can never change oil too often as far as an engine is concerned... your wallet may just not enjoy it as much!!
So if you have an engine now that has been running on one form of oil or another, and you decide to change to CoolPower, you MUST flush the engine out with petrol in order to get rid of all traces of the previous oil; otherwise if CoolPower is mixed with any other type of oil, it goes like treacle!
There is also CoolPower Gold Medium, which is only a TOUCH thicker, but it does mix with Lite so you wouldn't have to flush the engine out completly when doing an oil change. We had been using Medium for a while, and ordered our next batch of CoolPower Gold and it was Lite when it arrived... it seems to be pot luck what you get depending on where you get it! Don't worry too much though as far as I can tell, there is minimal difference. All it would be is that with Lite, being thinner, the engine can rev a touch "free'er", but even then, by how much is this even noticable between the two?
Hope that helps!
Rhauri
