The appropriate action was judged and taken by the officials at the circuit on the day. If you want to know either side's opion I suggest you take it up directly with them or you should have been there to witness it all for yourself. There will, of course be several opinions, however, adding to a situation that has already been judged adds nothing to what was a difficult race meeting enjoyed, perversely, by most.
For my part I saw some excellent driving in probably the worst conditions I have raced in in years (except perhaps the snow!!) and nothing that I would have not commeneted favourably if asked opinion by any of the officials. It is enevitable that incidents occur in those conditions and I defy anyone, except the leader, to say they had a clear view approaching turn one or the hairpin if in close proximity of another kart.
If you want gossip watch the Eastender's omnibus. It would appear that spawn of over imaginative thought was already circulating prior to the commencement of quali on Sunday and continued throughout the day. Either way it takes nothing away from the close battle between Welshy and Grant in the final lap or so. Another lap and the result could have been so different.
