Cheers everyone for your replies and help, I am fairly new to karting but not a noob to tinkering around with engines etc...but the bl@@dy two stroke has had me scratching my hair out and I need all the hair I have left...lol. I guess this post was started in desperation, both the WTP engines we have are the earlier B1's but have low hours and well maintained by JM Engineering. Everything was running well up until the last 3 trips to the track, we would get it running he would get through the first series of bends, get to the third and it would cut out, plenty of fuel but when checking the plug it was like it was flooding. We were getting stupid amouts of fuel in the airbox aswell. I had serviced the carbs, but we were still suffering the same symptoms and the carb was holding its pressure. Yesterday I was on a mission!!!!! Stripped the carb completely so it was just a body, cleaned every corner of the carb with carb cleaner, put another service set in, including now a new needle and seat, I couldn't replace the seat last time as my 8mm socket wouldn't fit, it does now after it had a session with my grinder...lol!! Guess what guys we have a running engine, testing it yesterday and everything seemed OK, we are going to the track today so we will know more.
OK can a new carb kit fail? Would not changing the seat make the carb fail? so many questions
Thanks again guys for all your help
Cheers Kieron
