I think generally the dyno doesn�t lie it�s just that the results need good interpretation. Generally the following needs taking into consideration: Peak Max HP rarely results in the best lap time because you spend far more time accelerating than being at peak revs towards the end of the straights. A good dyno isn�t an accurate dyno it�s a consistent dyno i.e. it�s not about it matching someone else�s dyno it�s about it producing repeatable results, so basically don�t try comparing results from different dyno�s, if you�re having engines tested always go back to the same place, otherwise any difference in the results won�t mean anything. All engines run-in at different rates, so the typical post service dyno run can give very different results to a run done after some track time, so consider having a dyno run done halfway between services if you�re interested in comparing engines.
