yep, allow enough time for scrutineering after a race.
rushed scrut' just makes it a disappointment for new entrants who think they can work their way up the grid with a bit of seat time/by gaining racecraft and with level playing field engines. These new entrants eventually lose heart and sell up.
Race org's want to advertise that they scrut' properly but are aware they will lose customers if they keep people back too long awaiting the results.
Top class scrutineering encourages bigger grids and the obverse is also true.
btw , I am not advocating people taking their engines home in a bits,(which just lines the pockets of engine builders), but another less/non invasive method.
- have top class scrut' - get rid of any rule benders or cheats by catching them with scrutineering - build the grid by advertising your top clas level of scrut' - everybody has someone to race and everybody wins!!!
