I understand you looking for new ideas, but I think a lot of people leave prokarts because they thought it was a cheap way to go racing, only to find out exactly how much you need to spend (usually on the engines) to claw you way to the front. Hence my comments aimed at engines. Its been proven old chassis bought for hundreds can win but not without a pair of 2k motors. Unfortunately there is not just one thing that would make a regular motor into an SP. However there was a thread a while back asking Kelvin (the man behind the current engine rules) to relax the rules and allow blueprinting of many of the parts that contribute towards making an SP engine, thus trying to narrow the gap between standard and SP engines. Unfortunately, for whatever reason it was dismissed. As for race format what about reverse direction? (if safety allows), different circuit layouts (many circuits can be changed around) and standing starts?
