I was very sad to hear this news and agree 110% with what has been said by the others,, Jim just loved karting and everything to do with it,, only just over a week ago at the last F6 race of the year we had a great chat on the grid about what i needed to do in the final, even though there were karts all over the place he still got out his pen and worked out the points i had got and needed. he also had a holiday caravan close to Lydd so when he was on his holidays he helped at the LYDD sprints.. The first time i saw Jim was at Lydd , me and a lad call Jason Thatcher were going for the championship decider, i saw Jim in an open face bash hat with a scarf and big goggles!! he had a single engine kart (world Formula brigs thing) a type of kart i hadn't seen before, i'm sorry to say i said to Jason something like "what the ****".. Jason knew Jim well from F6 and he said "wait and see" ,,, he was right Jim just left us far behind !!! as ghinzani said next years F6 will be the poorer without him..
