Why is the weight increase not extended to the clubman class also? I think you'll find more clubman teams would benefit from this than pros. I don't know of any pro teams that are not competitive due to their weight. They all need to carry ballast as it is. 180kg was a good all round weight that suited most people at both ends of the scale and if it goes up we are heading towards a heavyweight only class. We can't split the pro grid in to two different weight limits as you would end up with say 10 lights and a couple of heavies.

I'm an 'older' driver and medium weight so I'll be able to bolt on the required extra lead, but there will be others who need a ridiculous amount which will surely compromise the handling and possibly the safety of their karts.

We are running a new engine, not a new championship so I say leave the basic rules as they were, or at least have a vote on it.
