Guys
I still don't see why people are so against the 200's
Do we all want to go faster
Yes
Do we all want engines that are closer to each other and a level grid
Yes
Do we all want to take the cost out of the engines
Yes
The fact that if your engine is over a certain hp (say 7.1) you are out of the race will soon balance things up. Yes there will be variances due to weather workshop dyno vs mobile dyno but will it be closer that sp vs standard currently. As I understand it at any point you can also be handed another set of engines for the race if the track / officials deem necessary.
Yes I get the point that Roger may have a monopoly on this. However I see nothing wrong with turning up with your own engines if you start popping times in a second quicker than everyone else expect to be given a set of pool engines or have them dyno'd (that's the controversial bit). It won't matter what you do to the engine if it is over 7.1hp your out or face pool engines.
Currently to be at the front of the grid you seem to have to spend serious money on sp engines and this will stop it.
At least we now have an option, last year we all agreed something needed to be done about sp vs standard and kelvin has tried to do something about it. This is just another option.
If everyone is operating on a much closer field of engines for less money and we all go faster it gets my vote.
