Hi guys My son has been karting for 3 years now, 2 of them been in door karting and a year outdoor, doing championships and loads of test days, in his indoor days he won his championship so his confidence has been high, but he has this habit of looking behind ever since he started karting and it's so bloody frustrating to say the least! Where he races many times he is on the pace with the top quick drivers by lap times but when it comes down to getting into the mix of them in a race his nervous gets the better of him, he's fine with his race lines and overtaking but mentally when he knows who's he's up against like a quick driver he panics a bit, same sitting on the grid nervous and worrying like doesn't think he should be this far up, like no self belief! I try and reassure him but doesn't seem to listen, any ideas of dealing with these issues? Thought maybe some coaching
