There isn't a correct number of hours that I could give as wear will be dependant on the amount of slip when the clutches engage/disengage. It will also depend on your driving style.
We simply keep an eye on the shoe wear and when the leading edge gap looks disproportionate and/or the engagement revs increase more than we would expect we change the shoes. Wizz karts have genuine Magnum ones and are not expensive. Wear, however also occurs in the drums and typically we only replace the shoes once before buying complete new unit.
But by way of a guide, however, over a race season of 10 sprint races I would expect to have new clutches once and shoes once. Good clutches do make a difference (this includes keeping them clean) and whilst the performance loss is extremely gradual the gain can be significant.
